Tuesday 10- Things I love about myself

As moms, we rarely take the time to take care of ourselves and never put ourselves first. And we all have things we'd love to change about ourselves. I'm not at the weight I'd love to be at, but every now and again I like to remind myself what I love about being me.

I'm loyal and honest.

I have a huge heart. I love helping others.
I give back to my community every chance I get.

I genuinely love being a mom. I'm a proud mother, every chance I get I brag on my son and I tell him every day how proud I am of him.

I'm a planner. I love planning things and having things all in a row.
Sometimes when life gets a little crazy it's good to know I'm usually 3 steps ahead.

My hair. I was blessed with pretty easy to manage hair. It's straight as a board, but if I decide not to dry it and just throw it up in a ponytail it will still dry soft and straight :).

My positive attitude. I can put a happy spin on pretty much anything.
It takes a lot to bring this chipper girl down!

I love kids. And no, not in a creepy way. But I genuinely love being around children and am very patient with them. I miss teaching, but being a mom is more important to me :).

I'm a great friend. If you need me I come running.

I'm a simple girl, I don't need anything. I love my family, my friends
and my life. No designer labels would make me any happier.

My ability to forgive—and to find the good in others and humankind–
this keeps my heart open and for love to fill me.

Now here's the challenge I have for you. I'd love to hear what you love about yourself! Feel free to blog about it and leave a link to your post in the comments section!

  1. One - I am incredibly driven and dedicated. When I put my mind to something, it gets done.

Two - I am absolutely in love with my child, and feel like I have done a pretty good job in the short time that I have had with him.

Three - I am generally a pretty positive person. I usually look for the "yes" in situations (even though my career training has taught me to look for the "no")

Four - I am reliable. If I say you're going to get it, then you can be darn sure you'll get it.

Five - I am considerate of others. I always try to approach situations with others in mind, and think how my actions will affect them.

Six - I have the ability to grow beautiful long hair. Plus, since it is so long, it kinda just does its own thing and I don't have to think about how to style it.

Seven - Although I don't love my weight, I do at least love my curves/shape. I rock an hour glass :)

Eight - I have a good relationship with my family, and I am grateful that moving to Charlotte has allowed me to be closer to all of them.

Nine - I love my husband, and feel that we really are a team in this life.

Ten - I just generally love life, and am glad that I can take steps back to realize how good I have it.
