My favorite Halloween was when my boys dressed up as Mario and Luigi. They are an awesome time trick or treating and going to Fall festival. Plus, they reminded me of growing up playing Mario Brothers on the original Nintendo! :)

  6. I grew up in Illinois. My favorite Halloween was the year that it snowed. Instead of getting candy from some houses, they served hot cider or hot cocoa. Shared on FB. Thanks for the entry! Hope

    1. How cute is that?! That's always been my dream to have a bunch of kids dressed in one theme. My son is still hoping for 3 little brothers so they can be the Ninja Turtles and my husband and I can be April and Splinter!

  9. Growing up we didn't have money to buy costumes, it was left to our imagination, which is my favorite memory. Being creative to come up with a costume. Sometimes we borrowed my mom's clothes, and sometimes my dad's. To me that was the fun of Halloween!

  15. I grew up in a small town and Halloween was a big deal on my street! We carved pumpkins with friends, made our own costumes, decorated the house and yard. Then on Halloween night, we made a big pot of chili and neighbors would bring food and we'd eat together and hang out on the front porch while the kids went trick or treating. It was always a great time! (I've tried to post a comment a couple times and have had trouble, so I'm hoping this one will go through and my old ones don't post!) :)
