Yes, I know I'm a little behind in posting this, but I had to still share!
This summer went by way too fast, as did the one before. It didn't take long until we were receiving teacher assignments, back to school night invites and forms to fill out in the mail.
Am I reading this paper right, is my little boy going into FIRST grade?! He seems too little to be heading into the big kids building. Last year was a difficult one for us, we love his school, we loved his teachers assistant but we had a hard time finding a good fit with his Kindergarten teacher. So going back to school we were apprehensive about who he'd get.
After some google investigating (you know you do that too!), we found out that his teacher was new to the school, a triplet and a GLEE and Britney fan. So naturally, we already liked her a little bit!
Then it was time for back to school night, and our worries were quickly swept away. His teacher is amazing. She greeted us with a smile, a sweet postcard and just made my little man's heart melt. There are no words to describe how amazing it feels to see/meet a teacher that genuinely loves kids, and has a love for teaching. After meeting her it just made us that more excited for the new school year.
Our first day back wasn't hard at all. I thought for sure we would fight over "5 more minutes of sleep", which Polo he'd wear, and what he wanted for breakfast. But, I was wrong, he jumped out of bed and was ready for school in 12 mins, that's a record ladies and gentleman! His excitement was nice but mommy would love to see him a little bit sad to leave me all day!
But does this face look sad?
Nope, not even a little bit.
We're so excited for this year and can't wait to tell you all about our adventures. Did you send your little ones to Elementary school this year? We'd love to hear all about it!
